3RD TRIMESTER RECAP

At this point, I felt like time was passing so quickly. I wanted to make it my priority to slow down, relax, and enjoy the last few months of pregnancy. Slowing down came in the form of being iron deficient. At about 31 weeks I began to feel exhausted and weak in the mornings after only doing the simplest of tasks like brushing my teeth or making breakfast.

Surprise! My husband and I are expecting our first bundle of joy! I realize that it has been quite some time since my last blog post. As always, for the last few years, I have just been living life. I’m finding myself more offline than I’ve ever been since I started this site 10 years ago. EASY AIR FRYER MEALS

My stove + oven have been out for the past month and at this point, I’m completely over it. Fortunately, I have several countertop appliance options to help maintain my normal meal plans until it’s repaired. Relying solely on the microwave and ordering take-out every other day just wasn’t an option for me. The goal has been to prepare meals that are as fresh, health-ish, and nutritious as possible. While I have been making good use out of most of my countertop appliances, I must say the air fryer has been my favorite.

REDISCOVERING THE PURPOSE & DIRECTION OF STYLED CHIC

With it being just a few months away from the 9 year anniversary of Styled Chic, I recently sat down to reflect on my time since creating this site. I remember back in 2012 while working my full-time day job, I needed something more. I had just obtained my associates degree in Business Administration. Although I had just transferred into the Fashion Merchandising program at my university, I was finding myself becoming increasingly frustrated in what was supposed to be my dream major. Most of the core classes of the program were offered on campus, in the middle of the day. Unfortunately, the scheduling conflict was the reason I ultimately decided to focus on my career in accounting with the state.

I welcomed the new year with some much needed time off. I’m sure many of you can agree that it’s always refreshing to begin the calendar year a little more organized in our thoughts, plans, and surroundings. As always, I’ve been pulling out my favorite seasonal items and adding new finds to my closet. With spending time indoors and working remotely, I still find that I’m motivated enough to style myself for my home office or video calls. With it being sweater weather and all, cute and cozy sweaters are my go-to.
