Happy New Year 2016 | Catching Up

Hello my beautiful loves!! How are you??  I wish I could give each of you guys a hug and wish you a very Happy New Year!  It's been a little while hasn't it??  Well, most of you who are regulars here on Styled Chic know that last month I had my public wedding celebration.  So of course that has kept me away.  Planning a wedding is a lot of work.  Especially when you are executing it all on your own.  Fortunately for me, I had my family and best friends to help me with tons.  Even with all that, I still felt super tied up.  This is why I really took time during my wedding and the holidays to just live in the moment.  So blogging was placed on the back burner to celebrate love and life.

I am so grateful and happy with the way everything turned out.  I had an amazing weekend.  For most of my family and besties, it was their first time out here in Virginia, so it felt good to be surrounded by love and have some fun.  For me, I feel life events like this really show you how loyal and supportive your family and friends can be.  I just feel super blessed that I am able to say that I have true friends and love amongst my family.

So are you guys ready to talk beauty, style, and all the fun stuff again??  I am!  And I have so much to share with you.  It's a new year and I've racked up on new beauty products and have a new hair routine planned out this year.  Other than that we are going to dive right back in this thing.

I love the holidays and the new year because for me it's all about reflection.  I often times take inventory of self and how I can improve in every aspect of my life.  Relationships, health, career, home, lifestyle, finances.  But most importantly, how can I tweak a few things to be a better help, person, and influence to those around me?  Something to think about right?   Well no change or goal set can happen over night, but I will tell you that waking up everyday with a mindset to meet small goals one at a time, will eventually get you the gold.  You better ask somebody.

With that being said, let's celebrate having a Chic life in 2016.  Celebrate the life you already have by making everything around you chic.  Whether it's discovering a new restaurant, or cultivating a sophisticated wardrobe on a budget.  Focusing on the positive and putting negativity beneath us where it belongs.

I'm here to be your guide!  Let's make a toast!  Cheers to a fresh start of the New Year!
