What's In My Beauty Bag

My beauty bag is constantly changing because I’m always either trying new things or being sent items to share with you all.  Today I wanted to give you a peek of items I’m using that are in heavy rotation right now.  I use these products almost everyday.  Most of these products I purchased on my own and some are gifts or products that I’ve been asked to review.  These are a few of my absolute favorites because they are so compact and easy to carry in my small to-go bag and I am super impressed by the results that each one of these little gems provide.

Remember it’s always that tiniest weapons that can be the most deadly.  In other words it’s always that one product that can make all of the difference in how your makeup looks. A little grooming of the brows and lashes can take your face from just okay to FLAWLESS real quick.  Have a look:

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in ‘Caramel’:

I only use concealer for my highlight.  I let whichever foundation I use do all the work in coverage.  If you are unfamiliar with highlighting, take a look at this tutorial post I did

HERE

, which goes into it a little deeper.  If you’d like to see this process in action check out my makeup videos on YouTube in the above right hand corner.  Before I had been using my MAC studio finish concealer but the NARS just makes for much more of an easier application using the wand to dab on the product.  What I especially like about this product is that the formula is made without Parabens & Sulfates, that was pretty cool to know.

Anastasia Clear Brow Gel:

When I was first introduced to this product, I immediately dismissed it saying “I have everything that I need for bomb eyebrows, that’s a waste of money.” But NO.  The purpose of the brow gel is to set the brows so that they last all day.  Also, I sometimes struggle with the beginning of my right brow hairs.  They tend to want to just curve with the rest of my brows instead of standing more vertically as I like.  The gel solves this problem completely by helping them stay put!

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in ‘Lolita’:

All I gotta say is BOMB.  You can probably look a few posts back to see me wearing more soft pink lipsticks.  This only adds to my obsession.  It looks so pretty—like a natural pink color and it dries to a soft matte!  This lippie is everything and more!

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Neutralizer:

I received this from Influenster to review.  This instantly sort of neutralizes color imperfections.  So pretty much where every my skin tone needs a little pick me up, that’s where I’ll apply this bad boy.  Normally I’ll apply a few dots under my eyes to give me a more ‘awake’ look.  My goal, weather I’m wearing a very minimal amount to a full face of makeup is to always look ‘awake’, ‘fresh’, and ‘ready’.  I hate the look of just dry and tired—especially if I’m going to work.

Fekkai Hair Fragrance Mist, Rose Fraîche:

Since I’ve been protective styling, I lOVE using this product.  I think I told you guys that I was super hesitant about putting this mist on my real hair, so I’m loving it now.  It smells so good!  I just love wearing a fragrance that lingers.  My hubby gave me compliments on this scent the other day, so we know that’s always a plus!

Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional Face Primer:

This is a favorite amongst us makeup junkies.  It definitely minimizes the appearance of fine lines and pores.  This primer makes my skin feel like SILK.  So smooth and makes perfect preparation for me to apply my foundation.  It’s oil-free and compliments just about all skin tones.  You can even wear it alone, under, or over your makeup.  I normally were it under my makeup.

Urban Decay’s B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray:

This right here is a real winner.  This was a gift from Hubby along with a few other Urban Decay products.  Whenever he buys me cosmetics, it’s always Urban Decay, he gets it, lol.  So I actually use this spray in conjunction with my other face primer because it’s soothing and has vitamin E antioxidants, willow bark, and of course the Vitamin B6.  The Vitamin B6 pretty much helps control sebum production.  So that helps when I know that I'm going out and I will be taking photos.  The less shine the better.  I use this to also refresh my skin if I’m heading out after work for dinner.

I added in more favorites like my NARS Velvet Matte lip pencil in ‘Cruella’.  It’s the perfect shade for my skin tone and also MAC’s ‘Plum’ liner that I wear with every shade of pink that I own.  I still have more favorites to share with you guys so be on the look out for more coming soon.  A little primer, a defined brow, or pretty lip goes a long way.  You can easily step up your selfie game if you take the time to research and apply some of these simple products.  Check out my selfie game
