I hope you all are doing well this work week! I am so motivated and geared up because this is a very exciting time for me! Back in January, I made a post about my professional goals. In it I shared all about my process and making it a priority to set these goals for the year. Any time of the year is a great time to self-evaluate; however for me personally, I prefer having a clean slate of the new year to motivate and push me into execution of bringing those goals into fruition. That means getting clear about what I want, getting organized, creating a plan, setting deadlines, and finally following through.
Happy Friday everyone! We are coming up on the weekend and I’m sure most of you will probably use some of your time to shop for Mother’s Day gifts. Since we are a little over a week away, I figured I’d share some great gifting ideas to get for Mom. This way we will have plenty of time to make thoughtful decisions on ways to shower our loved ones.
Keeping a substantial amount of classic items in my closet is just a given for me at this point in my life. As a woman who is a day time professional and likes to have a little fun on the weekends, I love adding pieces to my wardrobe that not only mix well with items I already own, but also have the ability to translate from work to off the clock effortlessly. I think those of you who have been readers here on Styled Chic for awhile know that for me. I love keeping classics in my wardrobe because their ability to transcend time.
Happy weekend! It’s Saturday night. All of my in home chores like laundry, dishes, dusting, and vacuuming have been completed and I’m just ready to relax after a long work week. Yes, you read that right. I did a lot of spring cleaning as soon as I got home from work yesterday. I’m telling you nothing makes me feel more relaxed and chill than having a clean and organized house. Naturally when that’s done; a lady likes to treat herself to a nice cocktail while either reading on the sofa or catching up on a good show.
I’m saying “Hello” and celebrating the Spring season 🌷! This past weekend I had the chance to experience the most beautiful weather! Sunny skies and warmer temperatures made me break out some of my lighter and brighter favorites of my wardrobe.
Hello working ladies! Spring is finally here and while the temperatures are still up and down; I’ve been slowly transitioning some of my winter items out for brighter colors and prints. I think you would agree when I say that warmer temperatures can put you in a better mood, especially after a long winter. For me it’s a bigger plus during the work week because I’m able to spend my lunch hour outdoors to catch some Vitamin D. It makes such a difference in my mood. Plus I’m always a fan of really stepping away from work for the hour and changing your surroundings.
