Accomplishing Goals + New Additions to Styled Chic
The other day I tweeted about already accomplishing one of the goals that I made for 2016. Isn't it crazy that we are already in the month of March and Spring is just around the corner? That alone was enough for me to have a mini celebration when I checked off one of the new year resolutions/tasks I'd written for myself during the Christmas Holiday.
It just feels good to get things done! Especially this early in the year. I have really set my focus on just being productive and doing everything I set out to do as planned. It's one thing to be busy--completing the task is where I'm at. Remember when I talked about having a 'Chic Life' back in January (Read it HERE)? Part of having a chic life for me includes keeping my finances in check and making saving a priority this year. You can't just be out here LOOKING good. You have to really be good in ALL aspects of life. Don't ever fall for the trap of style blogs keeping you broke. That is never a good look. You definitely have to "Secure your bag!" As my favorite DJ Khaled would say. This year it feels so good to get back to vigorously saving and wiping out debt. I am so proud to say that 2016 is a year of being COMPLETELY debt free. One goal down. #Blessup
Speaking of getting things done, as you can imagine running a website can be a bit of a task especially when you work a regular 9 to 5 as well. I know some of you reading this may be bloggers juggling a career in another profession yourselves. Or maybe you're a single working girl, working mom, or just have LIVES, okay, lol. Those of you who have been here for awhile know that I've talked about this since the very beginning of Styled Chic in 2012. I am the creator, writer, photographer, and editor of this site. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes that has become a challenge to do all on my own. With Styled Chic continously growing, it's just the perfect time to add a few new faces to the team to help keep things rolling and in line with the direction the site is going in.
With that being said I'd like to give a huge WELCOME to my new photographer Emma Jesko Willich of Emma Fair Photography! Emma did such an amazing job with my wedding photos that I had to add her to the team here on Styled Chic. Her work is modern and elegant and that's why she is a perfect fit. We shot these photos on a casual Saturday when we met up for coffee. I'm always in jeans and these days wearing lots of hats due to chilly weather.
