Keeping a substantial amount of classic items in my closet is just a given for me at this point in my life. As a woman who is a day time professional and likes to have a little fun on the weekends, I love adding pieces to my wardrobe that not only mix well with items I already own, but also have the ability to translate from work to off the clock effortlessly. WEEKEND COCKTAILS

Happy weekend! It’s Saturday night. All of my in home chores like laundry, dishes, dusting, and vacuuming have been completed and I’m just ready to relax after a long work week. Yes, you read that right. I did a lot of spring cleaning as soon as I got home from work yesterday. I’m telling you nothing makes me feel more relaxed and chill than having a clean and organized house. FLORAL PRINTS AT WORK

Hello working ladies! Spring is finally here and while the temperatures are still up and down; I’ve been slowly transitioning some of my winter items out for brighter colors and prints. WINTER CAPSULE WARDROBE

I have to admit, shopping just hasn’t been a priority for me these days. Now don’t get me wrong, I will add to my closet when necessary ( i.e. travel or special events), but lately I’ve been relying heavily on what I already own in my wardrobe. I currently have a few financial goals that I am trying to work towards. With that, I find myself being a little more strategic about what kind of clothes I spend my money on.

CURRENTLY READING

I’ve been doing a lot more reading lately and have been focusing on really diversifying my book collection. My interests normally range from spiritual, to motivational, finance, career, health, and a few others. However, after doing some early spring cleaning recently, I realized how much I desire to expand my stacks to books by women of color. Celebrating the talent and legacy of black women writers is something to be done this month and throughout the year. Feeling inspired, I chose to pick up a few new reads that I would love to share with you!
