Essence Beauty Box: January 2016- A Pamper Party

Hey Beauties!  So how did you all make out with the cold weather and snow?  We got a bit, but everything has pretty much cleared up at this point.  It was so nice to spend time keeping cozy indoors, which lead to a lot of pampering for me.  Fortunately, I received my Essence Beauty Box a week before the storm, so I had some goodies to play with!

The month of January has been more of a month of indulging for me.  I mean, I planned a wedding for about a year and a half so it feels so good not to have to order flowers, choose the color of table chargers, finalize a guest list--it just goes on!  Now I can focus on the small things that I really enjoy like a regular mani/pedi, reading a few of my favorite books, and spending time creating!  This beauty box has definitely aided me in my indulgence.  I was so excited about each item.

What's Inside:

Julep Nail polish in 'Jess'

- Classic with a Twist-  What I love the most besides the

beautiful chocolate color is that it has

proprietary 5-free, vegan-friendly formula that also includes strengthening Hexanal and antioxidant green coffee extract.  In other words- It's shows to be a little better than regular nail polish that contains all the scary stuff in them.  PLUS, I love that it dries faster and the life of your mani is extended.  This shade looks so gorgeous and perfect for this time of year. I used this polish for my last manicure.  If you follow me via Instagram you were able to see how it looks a few weeks ago when I got my nails done. This time I went for shorter nails and I loved the finished look.  See the results down below!

TGIN Green Tea Leave-in Conditioner

-  The line that got me with this conditioner is

't

his lightweight formula has the perfect combination of moisture and antioxidants, which helps to improve manageability, fight frizz, and transform dry brittle strands into soft, smooth and healthy hair'.  You guys know that I'm protective styling.  The advantage that I have by wearing a quick weave is that I can still care for my natural hair underneath.  With temperatures being in the 30's & 40's my hair will love the added moisture that is product has to offer.

Shea Terra Organics Rose Hips Black Soap

-  Initially, I was very excited for this product seeing how I was low on a facially cleanser.  However, I recently learned that using black soap on the skin daily can actually dry out the skin.  This soap sounds great being that it works like mircordermabrasion, fighting dead skin, allowing for a more even skin tone, and fighting acne.  However, it's probably something that I will only use a few times a week.  We shall see.  Do some research about the whole black soap drying out your skin.  The directions on this product says to only apply a small amount to wash the entire face, so that could be a clue.  The company does say that it can be used as a regular cleanser or as a face mask.  I'll be testing it out by gradually using it first.  I'm excited to try!

LAQA & CO Lip Pencil-

As you saw in my last post, I'm into pink/flesh tone lip colors at the moment.  This luxy pencil doe not disappoint.  I just added my 'Plum' lip liner to it and I got the shade that looks beautiful against my skin tone.

Leader's Cosmetics Baby Soft Foot mask

-  The ultimate pamper that I look forward to is getting a pedicure.  I like to keep my feet soft and moisturized, especially during this time of year.  It could be super easy to let them go--DON'T.  This mask

repairs dry and cracked skin by supplying moisture and nutrients like aloe vera, and bees wax. The convenient sock-type mask is comfortable and easy to wear. It's also Hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested.

These are all quality products for a really good deal you guys.  I kid you not.  This box is definitely my favorite so far.  Oh, and it's also on sale!  Hurry and sign up for membership from now to midnight for only $10 a box.  Take advantage by visiting
